We offer ballet classes in Exeter from the age of 3 years old for boys and girls. We follow the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus which gives a structured progressive training at all levels. Alongside the formal syllabus we incorporate free, creative elements to the classes appropriate to the age and level of the children.
Our ballet classes are aimed at producing technically sound dancers who are inspired to be creative at all ages. Fun and enjoyment underpins all dance classes and the younger children are encouraged to use imagination and an array of props within classes.
Ballet is the basis of all dance forms and pupils who gain a sound knowledge in this dance genre will often progress well in further areas of dance training.
Exeter ballet classes for the younger students are held on Saturdays at Clyst Heath Primary School.
Exeter ballet classes for our older students are held on Wednesdays and Thursdays at Clyst Heath Primary School.
Examinations are optional and can be taken from the age of 6 years old. There is no pressure placed on children to take examinations but they are encouraged to gain a sense of achievement. When students are preparing for examinations they attend twice a week for the appropriate term and exams are taken in Exeter.
