I began dancing at Joanna Mardon School of Dance when I was 3 years old and enjoyed it so much that I stayed until I was 17.
I studied RAD ballet gaining grade 8 and Intermediate together with all my jazz medals. Alongside, I achieved an A* in GCSE Dance and went on to gain a Triple-Distinction* in Performing Arts at King Edward Community College.
After this, I left home to train as a professional dancer at Tiffany Theatre College. Here I trained in ballet, contemporary, jazz, commercial, musical theatre, acting and singing, and was lucky enough to perform in London’s annual dance exhibition ‘Move It’ and at the Shaw Theatre in King’s Cross.
I even had the opportunity to perform on an episode of “Ant and Decs Saturday Night Takeaway” - my claim to fame!
After graduating from Tiffany’s, I decided that I wanted to go to university to study Management and Marketing. However, I never stopped dancing! During my studies I joined the Exeter University Dance Society and gained a place on the competition team, who tour universities all around the country and compete against other squads. In my final year, I was on both the Contemporary squad and the Jazz squad and we won either first or second place at every competition we entered!
Now I have graduated, I look forward to starting a new chapter teaching Contemporary at Joanna Mardon School of Dance - back where it all began! I can’t wait to share my passion with you all.
See you in class!
